To get the most out of this retreat, <span style=\"color: #993300\"><b>don\u2019t wait until the last minute to prepare yourself.\u00a0 And most of all DON&#8217;T TAKE IT LIGHTLY!<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">44 <span style=\"color: #00d084\">LIFE-CHANGING<\/span> HOURS!\u00a0 \u00a0 <span style=\"color: #00d084\">GET READY!<\/span><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Prepare your mind and prepare your heart\u00a0 <\/strong>\u2014 be attentive to it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Watch for God&#8217;s hand in your day. <\/strong>In our experience, He&#8217;ll be working to prepare you for what&#8217;s coming, raising issues, questions, feelings, reminding you of things from your past, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PAY CLOSE ATTENTION.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Watch out for the enemy&#8217;s work.<\/strong> Here&#8217;s a few things we see regularly as we plan for the event:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Busyness<\/strong> (Life will feel extra busy \u2014 intentionally create moments of quiet here and there)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Relationships<\/strong> (Relationships will seem more tense than usual \u2014 hold off on big decisions and big conversations until after the weekend)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Anxious\/Unsettled<\/strong> (You may experience more fear, fog, drain, etc. than usual \u2014 try to remove things from your plate. And, use the <strong>Prayers<\/strong> and <strong>Pause<\/strong> below to help.)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Detached<\/strong>\u00a0 (You may feel detached from others and God. That&#8217;s ok. Don&#8217;t let it throw you. Lean into it \u2014 ask God to intervene \u2014 nurture your connections. Read the <b>updated version<\/b>.\u00a0 My first time reading through it was good\u2026 but God used even more during my second time through.\u00a0 And, if you have not yet read Wild-at-Heart \u2014 read it.<\/p>\n<p>This retreat is based on \u201cWild at Heart Boot Camps\u201d hosted in Colorado by John Eldredge and the Ransomed Heart team.\u00a0 These retreats are based primarily on the concepts found in Wild at Heart.\u00a0 You will get more out of the retreat if you already have this information under your belt and have already begun to allow it to sink in. But more importantly\u2026 you should read this book because it sets the stage for an awakening.<\/p>\n<p>We will use the concepts in Wild at Heart as an outline to walk you into the next stage of your masculine journey. (And by \u201cMasculine Journey\u201d we mean the journey that you as a man are on, whether you knew it or not. But tragic things happen too. What does it mean?
